The Power of Stories—That's the Omni Difference

"If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales.
If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales."
—Albert Einstein

This poignant quote highlights the importance of stories in encouraging imagination and critical thinking in children. Not only do stories (especially fantasy tales) stimulate a child's imagination, which is essential for creativity and problem-solving; but they inspire wonder and exploration beyond the realm of the mundane.

That in a nutshell is the Omni difference!

We use stories to connect, to cultivate community, and to engender a lifelong love of learning. We achieve this by making the story experience interactive and immersive, engaging students' senses and sensibilities. They learn about themselves through the characters they relate to. And they learn how to apply disciplines such as math and science to everyday activities they will face in the real world. Stories reach our core in a way standard education is unable to replicate—not only by putting the student into the story, but by putting the story into the student, enabling them to actually do what they're reading and learning about!

Stories teach by making complex information relatable, engaging emotions, fostering empathy, sparking imagination, and providing a framework for understanding different perspectives and situations. This results in better information retention and greater comprehension.

Emulating beloved "role model" characters can lead to improved behavior, bolstered self-confidence, and healthier decision-making. When all is said and done, stories can show us not only who we want to be, but how we can get there.

“Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world.”
